With the likes of Kareena Kapoor dancing to the tunes of 'chhamak chhalo' in a red sari draped in dhoti-style, Sushmita Sen's prancing act in a red-chiffon sari that set the Badshah of Bollywood 'Shah Rukh Khan' to serenade her in Main Hoon Na, to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan donning queen Jodha's majestic royal appeal in bright red saris and Vidya Balan's latest sexy and sultry avatar in The Dirty Picture, the red sari has become a symbol of vivacity and feminine grace.
Looks familiar? Well, it's not a still from Milan Luthria's The Dirty Picture. Vidya Balan was just too inspired by her on-screen character that she decided to pull a Silk Smitha move yesterday afternoon at Gaiety Galaxy, in Bandra.
The actress reportedly wanted to gauge the audiences' reaction to her latest film first-hand and so, she decided to don a burkha, while she sat in the upper stall of the theatre to watch the film.
However, Vidya blew her own cover, when she decided to unveil her face during the intermission of the film to talk to her father, as most of the audience had left to buy refreshments. When one of the moviegoers was returning to his seat, he spotted the actress and screamed, "Vidya Balan!". The actress had no other choice but to give the latter half of the film amiss in order to preempt the chaos of audiences gathering around her.
